Time accounting is not an easy task as it seems at first look. Especially if you have to sum the hours and minutes, or if to associate the time with other indicators.

Example: 3:05 (3 hours 5 minutes) * $1000 = $3083.33 (first 5/60=0,0833333 that time in fractional hours 3.0833333 multiplied by $1000 = $3083.33).

Another example. Estimated time of operation is 35 hours and 20 minutes. Given the estimated savings of 5% will receive 33 hours 34 min (35:20 5%=33:34).
